Canyon is in the Canadian or Pre-Cambrian Shield, the oldest
Mountain range in the world. Agawa Canyon was created by faulting
in the Canadian Shield about 1.2 Billion years ago.
The Algoma Central Railway's Agawa Canyon Tour Train is a seasonal
1-Day Train Tour from Sault Ste Marie Ontario Canada that goes
to north approximately 4 hours to Agawa Canyon. During the summer
tour season guests explore Agawa Canyon Park for approximately
2 hours before taking the return train. The "Snow Train"
or Agawa Canyon Winter Train Tour goes to Agawa Canyon and returns
without guest disembarking at Agawa Canyon.
